This Season's Theme: Quarantine

Thank you very much for your decision to join the Quarantine Hunt! We're a little different in that there will be a mandatory one-time donation to Relay For Life made by each hunter, so we want to make sure that our gifts are of appropriately high quality. We're looking forward to working with all of you to make this a really great event for both our Vendors and our Hunters!

This hunt's theme is Quarantine, A Post-Apocalyptic Hunt. Just what the apocalypse was, we're not sure, that's up to you to interpret! Bring on the Resident Evil, Fallout, The Postman, the Walking Dead, Nuclear War, War, Aliens, Meteors, Disease... whatever you can think of!

The hunt is going to have two paths: The Human path and the Mutant Path. You can be a part of one or both, but if you're on both paths you'll have to create two separate gifts! You must create a gift suitable for each gender, or one that can be used by anyone, male or female, and each gift must be of a quality you would sell in your shop. Remember, our hunters are going to be making a Linden donation to participate, so we want the gifts to be special!

If you're interested in the Human Path, please send your notecards to Margo Imako.
If you're of the Mutant variety, please send your notecard to JoseDiego Silverspar!

Please use the below format for your notecard. Label it QH - Path - Store- Owner.

blah.... seems another hunt you have to pay for but do not get what you pay for... i dont mind at all donating for cancer cause i lost my mom to it... but its silly to say donate so we can do a hunt... simply asking for donations is enough... about half or more of the locations do not work, so youre not getting the rewards promised... :( gonna stick to just paying vendors for RFL and stay away from these hud hunts...

Our scripts were broken by SL updates, all we could do was replace them and extend the hunt to January 15th. I'm sorry you're unhappy but we can't control SL and what they update when. We've done what we could to make sure everyone gets gifts and has extended time to do so.

according to some of the hunt vendors, they arent aware the hunt was extended, nor have they been getting responses from you guys when they tried to contact you... so they had no idea they were even removed from the hunt, so - to - say... (referring to them being removed from the updated list) and even some removed have set their items to sale to make it easier... jst a heads up... may want to let everyone know its extended and so on...

Repeated notices have gone out in group informing them that the hunt has been extended and that the person in charge of the human path has changed. There have been at least three notices not to mention many group chats letting them know. I haven't removed a single person from the hunt but some have dropped out, empty spaces mean they need to contact me and have been asked repeatedly to do so.

Not to be a small voice in the crowd but, to parrot what JD has said numerous notices have been sent regarding both the issues with the hunt item (the script in particular which is a LL based error - not the organizers) - and the extension of the hunt via the RFL merchants group.

And almost assuredly due to the consistent rollbacks, server maintenance and OS critical overhauls that the Lab has been enforcing over the holiday season would be a key factor in _why_ this hunt has had such difficulties from the get-go. It hasn't been just this hunt; several script related items have been having severe backlash effects due to the maintenance as well.

As I do not have any hearsay as to whether IM's were answered when store owners were trying to reach JD or Margo, JD has been diligently trying to remedy the problems that have come up every single time to the best of his ability, and time given his own personal RL situations, something a lot of people do not see go on behind the scenes and think that hunts go flawlessly. For that much he does deserve respect for putting up with the chaos and the flak he's taken (most of which was again - not his fault.)

IMs get eaten, notecards disappear - we all know this happens. It's SL - errors are bound to happen. But it's also as simple as going right to Groups - Group Profile and Past Notices to see if anything HAS been overlooked. It's usually common sense at a given point when you participate in a hunt you should be aware of things, check notices, check notes, everything and not be expected to be guided by the hand at every step of the way. (Updated signs have also gone out, BTW, concerning the extension of the hunt.)

Lastly on a personal note - to say something is 'silly just to do a hunt' is just a passive-aggressive lean into saying 'well this wasn't as expected so I shall stomp my foot until it goes right' - no one twists an arm to participate, but many are quick to bark when something goes wrong. If you want to support a charitable cause then good on you, and remember that is the Main Goal of it, the sweat, frustration and tears of the people behind it are just adding a few extra sweets to the package. Just food for thought.

so people are forced to be a member of a group and take up group space? you dont have a mailer to make sure everyone is informed?
